# Upload Media

> Upload the materials and script for an Aixcut project.

## Upload before editing

Before you start editing, select **Upload materials** and add the files for the project. Materials can include videos, images, and other source assets. A script is optional.

Upload all the materials you expect to use at the same time when possible. This gives Aixcut the complete context it needs to analyze and arrange the project.

## Describe the edit

After uploading, enter a request based on whether you have a script:

* With a script: **Please edit the video according to the script.**
* Without a script: **Please write a script based on the materials and edit it.**

Include the intended audience, pacing, structure, or other requirements when they matter. Clearer instructions usually reduce the number of AI revisions.

## Use a skill

The AI dialog can use a skill for a specific editing scenario. Select a suitable skill when one is available. A skill can reduce repeated instructions and help produce a suitable first result more quickly.
